Dakota “Don’t Tax” Postcards Number Over 33,000

BISMARCK, ND (July 25, 2013) -- The Credit Union Association of the Dakotas (CUAD) has crunched the numbers, and as of Thursday, July 25th, a conservative estimate is that we have presented over 33,000 “Don’t Tax My Credit Union” postcards to the Dakota’s legislators.

“While we are still working on complete numbers as we continue to get information from credit unions, we presently have counted that North Dakota has delivered 12,821 postcards while South Dakota has delivered 20,701” reported CUAD President/CEO Robbie Thompson.

“As long as we have post cards left, we hope to keep them trickling in so our elected representatives know that we are passionate about this issue, and that we aren’t going away” said Jeff Olson, CUAD’s VP of Advocacy and Awareness.  Olson added that he hopes credit unions will continue to send the post cards with their outgoing mail until the supplies run out.

Headquartered in Bismarck, Credit Union Association of the Dakotas (CUAD) is the trade association serving credit unions in the Dakotas.  CUAD serves 72 credit unions in North and South Dakota, serving over 406,000 members, with assets in excess of $5.1 billion.  For more information about CUAD visit our website at www.cuad.coop
