Dates announced for CUNA Enterprise Risk Management Certification Institute in Chicago, IL

MADISON, WI (January 21, 2015) -- Credit Union National Association (CUNA), in collaboration with The Rochdale Group, Inc., announced today that CUNA Enterprise Risk Management Certification Institute will be held April 20-23, 2015 in Chicago, IL. Registration and details for this risk management strategy and certification program are available at training.cuna.org/erm.

“Credit unions are continuing to develop tactics to stay ahead of risk. As risks to credit unions evolve, so do the techniques used to manage them – and that’s where enterprise risk management comes into the picture,” stated Todd Spiczenski, CUNA Chief Products & Services Officer. “Thanks to The Rochdale Group’s continued guidance, this institute prepares attendees to react to and leverage ongoing and evolving management of risk in their organizations.”

Built on collaboration, CUNA Enterprise Risk Management Certification Institute provides credit union executives crucial knowledge, tools and insights for incorporating enterprise risk management (ERM) at their credit unions. Through the expertise of Rochdale's ERM consultants, attendees leave with an understanding of today’s risk environment, their own risk appetite, risk beyond investments and how risk management can serve as a strategic tool for their credit union.

“The Institute was excellent,” said Steve Arbaugh, Chief Financial Officer at SECU, Linthicum, Md. and CUNA CFO Council executive committee member. “Alternating presenters throughout the session was an excellent way to break up the day and deliver the subject matter. The level and amount of detail was spot on and will prove extremely helpful as we build out the ERM process at our credit union."

To date, 337 individuals have earned their Credit Union Enterprise Risk Management Expert (CUERME) designation. Offered again this April, attendees will have the opportunity to join in the growing number of certified credit union ERM experts by earning their CUERME designation.
