Day Air donates $11,000 to Dayton Children’s Hospital
KETTERING, OH (August 10, 2016) — Day Air Credit Union is pleased to donate $11,000 to Dayton Children’s Hospital. This year’s donation represents a 49 percent increase over last year and continues a relationship that has benefited the greater Dayton community for nearly three decades. Throughout the year, Day Air Credit Union offers its members the opportunity to Skip-a-Payment on their loan during the holidays for a small fee, of which a portion is then donated to Dayton Children’s.
“Dayton Children’s Hospital is able to provide the very best care for the children in our region thanks to the support of members in our community and Children’s Miracle Network partners like Day Air Credit Union,” said Lexi Kopilchack, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Manager. “With this donation, we will be able to purchase equipment and technology to change and save kids’ lives. Dayton Children’s is grateful for Day Air’s continued support through the Skip-A-Payment program.”
“We are excited about the increased donation we are able to give to Dayton Children’s this year to help them continue to serve children and families in our community. This increase is possible because of the support and generosity of our members.” said William Burke, President and CEO of Day Air Credit Union. “Our ongoing commitment to Dayton Children’s is part of our broader mission to serve the Dayton community.”
Day Air has supported Dayton Children’s and the Children’s Miracle Network since 1987, accumulating over 300 volunteer hours. In just the past five years, Day Air has donated over $35,000 adding to the grand total of over $136,000 donated during the partnership.
