WAYNESBORO, VA: DuPont Community Credit Union (DCCU) was chosen the Shenandoah Valley’s Favorite “Bank” for the ninth year by the readers of the Waynesboro News Virginian. The results were announced recently by the newspaper. DCCU was also selected by the readers of the Northern Virginia Daily as their favorite Credit Union in Shenandoah County,
“DuPont Community Credit Union is pleased to be recognized as the Valley’s Favorite “Bank” once again,” said Gerald B. Hershey, DCCU President/CEO. “We are also proud to be recognized for the first time as Shenandoah County’s Favorite Credit Union.”
DCCU was also chosen as the 2nd Place Valley Favorite in the Mortgage Company Category, and was chosen 3rd Place in the Financial Planning Category by the News Virginian’s readers. This is at least the ninth year in which DCCU has been chosen the Valley’s Favorite “Bank.” Over 1,000 votes were cast by the newspaper’s readers for the 95 categories, and hundreds of businesses were nominated in the poll. For the Northern Virginia Daily the contest had over 1,000 responses and 292 different categories.
