DCECU to host five-dealer used auto sale
Car buyers can check out more than 200 high-quality used vehicles from five local dealers at the DCECU Auto Sale on Aug. 5,
MIDLAND, MI (August 1, 2017) — On the first Saturday in August, Dow Chemical Employees’ Credit Union will be transformed into one of the largest used-car lots in the area.
At the DCECU Auto Sale, car buyers will be able to check out more than 200 high-quality used cars, trucks, vans and SUVs from five local dealers. The sale, which is open to the public, will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 5, at the credit union’s office at 600 E. Lyon Rd. in Midland. Onsite financing will be available.
“The DCECU Auto Sale has been one of our most popular events. Being able to compare vehicles and prices from multiple dealers in a single location makes car-shopping much easier,” said DCECU Vice-President of Lending Ken Roznowski. “Plus, when dealers compete to win your business, some really great deals can result.”
Participating dealers include Feeny Chrysler Jeep Dodge, Garber Chevrolet, McArdle Buick GMC Cadillac, Midland Ford-Lincoln and Wholesale Auto Co.
“The DCECU Auto Sale is not only good for car buyers and dealers; it’s also a great opportunity for us to raise awareness about the benefits of DCECU membership, including our low rates on loans and high returns on deposits, as well as our unique Member Giveback program,” said DCECU President/CEO Dennis Hanson.
DCECU is one of only a handful of credit unions nationwide that routinely returns a portion of its earnings to its members at the end of the year. For 2016, DCECU gave back 75 percent of the interest members paid on their rebate-eligible loans and added 75 percent to the interest members earned on their savings, for a record-breaking total of more than $16 million.
To fuel interest in both the auto sale and credit union membership, DCECU will be holding a drawing for a chance to win a $500 gas gift card or a four-pack of tickets to see the Detroit Tigers. Three radio stations – Mix 106.3 FM, The Moose 94.5 FM and WSGW 790 AM – will broadcast live from the sale. Additionally, the Los Jalapeños food truck from Mount Pleasant will be selling its trademark “Mobile Mexican Cuisine” onsite from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
