Decade of employee commitment: GTE Financial recognized as Tampa Bay Times 2024 Top Workplace for 10th consecutive year
TAMPA, FL (April 18, 2024) — GTE Financial, one of Tampa Bay’s most prominent and locally owned credit unions, is proud to announce they have been named one of the Tampa Bay Times 2024 Top Workplaces. The financial institution ranked nine in the mid-size category (150-499 employees) for the tenth year in a row.

GTE Financial raised its minimum entry wage to $19 an hour, offering an 8% employer 401k match. The financial institution is committed to increasing its wage annually and is on the path to raising its minimum entry wage to $20 an hour by 2025. Likewise, the credit union’s 401k match is top in the country, at 8%. In addition to offering competitive hourly rates, GTE provides four weeks of paid time off accruing with each pay period, volunteer and wellness paid time off, maternity and paternity paid leave, and 11 paid holidays. To celebrate this milestone, GTE held a Family Picnic Day where more than 800 employees and their families gathered to celebrate this incredible achievement.
