Del-One FCU’s Juntos Avanzamos Proclamation Ceremony

DOVER, DE (April 2, 2024) — Del-One FCU held a Proclamation Ceremony for the Juntos Avanzamos designation on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at Del-One’s corporate location in Dover. Speakers for the event included Inclusiv Executive Vice President Pablo DeFilippi, Dover Mayor Robin Christiansen, New Castle County Executive Matt Meyer, MDDC Credit Union Association President and CEO John Bratsakis, and Inclusiv Board Member and CU leader Luis Pastor. A congratulatory letter was also sent by Congresswoman Lisa Blunt Rochester. Del-One Board Chair Steve Smith, President & Chief Executive Officer Dan McCarthy, Chief Banking Officer John Chartrand, and Assistant Director of Retail Operations Adrian Romero also shared what this designation means to Del-One and to the communities Del-One serves. Juntos Avanzamos (Together We Advance) credit unions are chosen for their commitment to serve and empower the members of the Hispanic community. Del-One has worked hard to deepen this relationship by employing bilingual, culturally competent staff and leadership, partnering with local Latino organizations throughout Delaware, and establishing an iTIN Lending Program which allows non-citizens to apply for a loan using their taxpayer ID numbers instead of a Social Security number. Assistant Direct of Retail Operations Adrian Romero stated, “Someone once said that while we may not be able to change the entire word, we can certainly make our little corner of it awesome. And that’s exactly what we are doing here today! By promoting inclusivity, accessibility, and equality in financial services, we are creating a more vibrant, thriving and equitable community for everyone”.
