Denver Community Credit Union All-Staff Volunteer Day

DENVER , CO (October 22, 2021) — All Denver Community Credit Union employees volunteered across Metro Denver during their fourth annual all-staff volunteer day on Monday, October 11th.   On #DenverCommunityGives Day, Denver Community staff volunteered a combined 281 hours with six local non-profit organizations, which is an estimated $8,515 in cost savings for their non-profit partners.

Employees sorted and packaged food at Jewish Family Service, prepared thousands of meals for kids and packed over 30,000 pounds of food at Food Bank of the Rockies, organized and prepared 8,035 pounds of donations at A Precious Child which will serve 643 children and caregivers, packed donated medical supplies and kits for kids for shipment around the world with Project C.U.R.E., built 885 pantry boxes for Meals on Wheels recipients and made fleece blankets for veterans and community members in crisis with Volunteers of America Colorado, and sorted and paired 526 pairs of shoes that create sustainable jobs at Soles4Souls.

#DenverCommunityGives Day aligns with Denver Community Credit Union’s vision of “Advancing financial opportunity” by making a difference in the lives of our community members.   This day of volunteering further encourages Denver Community staff to remain involved in the communities we serve year-round.
