Diamond Credit Union donates school supplies to local students through United Way

POTTSTOWN, PA (August 24, 2015) — On Wednesday, August 19, employees of Diamond Credit Union visited two United Way organizations: Boyertown Area Multi-Service and the Pottstown Family Center to donate eight boxes full of needed school supplies for children. For the fifth consecutive year, Diamond employees collected materials for the Annual School Supply Drive. The donations will be used to ensure that local students have everything they need to start the school year off right, regardless of their family’s financial situation.

Diamond’s Human Resources Associate, Monica McCoach, has organized the School Supply Drive for the past two years.  “I’m honored to work with so many awesome people who truly look forward to opportunities like the School Supply Drive to give back to the local community. I know that our employees pick out each item with care as if they were shopping for their own child. We hope that these supplies will make the first day of school that much brighter for local children in need,” said McCoach.

About the organizations:

The Pottstown Family Center, a program of Family Services, offers support programs and services that help families learn, grow and achieve self‐sufficiency. The Family Center offers a variety of services for children and families in the greater Pottstown area.
