San Antonio, TX – September 07, 2011 – Digital Defense, Inc. (DDI), a leading provider of information security governance, risk management, and compliance (GRC) solutions, today announced they completed a pro-bono security project for Goodwill Industries of San Antonio. The project resulted in a measurable improvement in the security of Goodwill Industries’ San Antonio-based computer network via the identification of security vulnerability findings and the suggested prioritization of remediation tasks, which were implemented by Goodwill.
“We are so pleased DDI volunteered to help us better protect information about our personnel and donor patrons through their work on this project. The combination of their cloud-based technology and outstanding service and support enabled us to improve our security posture and reduce risk from our operation,” said Bob Dugas, president and CEO of Goodwill Industries of San Antonio.
DDI’s Frontline™ Vulnerability Lifecycle Management offering provides clients with enterprise-wide, distributed network scanning capabilities on an on-demand basis. Clients can scan any host within their network regardless of its location at any time. The vulnerability scan and penetration test results are then made available to clients from a security information management portal that is configured to best support the needs of each client in terms of scan results reporting and workflow management of detected security vulnerabilities. Business risk can be associated with each host, further optimizing the execution of risk mitigation plans.
“Our goal was simple. Ensure that Goodwill Industries could maintain their focus on carrying out their primary mission of helping change lives through the power of work while we helped improve the network security posture of their computing network,” said Larry R. Hurtado, president and CEO of Digital Defense. “We’re glad we could be of service to an organization such as Goodwill Industries that has such a worthy cause.”
DDI clients using the managed option of the vulnerability scanning service receive access to a Personal Security Analyst, as well as an Analyst on Demand. In addition, DDI provides prioritization of found vulnerabilities for remediation, so clients save valuable time addressing the more severe vulnerabilities on hosts with the greatest importance to the organization. Clients have access to a variety of standard and customized reporting as well as trending information to ensure long-term analysis and broad organizational understanding of their security and risk status. DDI’s integrated approach to the delivery of vulnerability management services offers economic and support benefits to organizations seeking an independent, recurring evaluation of their security operation.
