DigitalMailer announces webinar on new leeflet service

Web talk features research by Filene Research Institute, marketing strategies by Mike Neill

HERNDON, VA (January 23, 2015) -- DigitalMailer, Inc. will present a free, informational webinar next Wednesday, Jan. 28, on Leeflet, a new electronic communication service developed in partnership with the Filene Research Institute. Leeflet sends information members have requested directly from their credit union to their email inboxes.

“Filene has completed its research on Leeflet, and we’re eager to share it with the credit union community,” said Jesse Boyer, President of DigitalMailer, an electronic communications and marketing firm. “The findings validate our belief that members would prefer to receive Leeflet emails as opposed to traditional brochures because they have more control – no more wading through paper or emails members don’t want or need.”

As part of its research, Filene invited a number of credit unions, ranging in assets from $40 million to $10 billion, to pilot the Leeflet program. At the end of the pilot phase last spring, 12 participating credit unions decided to continue using the program after seeing considerable cost savings – an average of 65 percent reduction in printing costs.

Next week’s webinar will include speakers from DigitalMailer, Filene and Michael Neill & Associates. They will discuss how Leeflet works and provide results from the pilot program, as well as offer strategies to make the most of its tracking capabilities. Mike Neill will also share his own tip on how to increase member engagement and boost sales with Leeflet.

Boyer says credit unions also appreciate Leeflet because it reduces marketing costs and tracks members’ responses to requested information.

“Given that most financial institution marketing materials include terms, rates and conditions, traditional print brochures and flyers are often out of date way before the supply runs out,” said Boyer. “In contrast, Leefletenables credit unions to easily update brochures electronically, cutting the cost of printing and mailing – and saving the marketing budget for other efforts.”

In the webinar, DigitalMailer will offer news on electronic marketing trends, research findings and other information relevant to credit union management and staff. Topics will hold special interest for marketing, IT and lending professionals.

The free webinar is at 1:45 p.m. EST. Register at here to attend.
