Dillon Credit Union launches family financial wellness partnership with My First Nest Egg

Hutchinson, KS (November 13, 2025) |

Dillon Credit Union announced a new partnership with My First Nest Egg, a family-first financial wellness program for children and parents. The collaboration expands Dillon Credit Union’s commitment to empowering families by providing free, age-appropriate tools that make building healthy money habits simple—both at home and in classrooms across Central Kansas.

Rooted in the belief that strong financial habits start early, Dillon Credit Union is introducing a fully branded, co-hosted version of the My First Nest Egg platform. Families will have access to engaging challenges, chore and allowance tools, real-world goal setting, and short, classroom-ready lessons that help parents and teachers bring money conversations to life in ways that are fun, practical, and consistent over time.

Dillon Credit Union is excited to partner with My First Nest Egg to invest in resources that support financial education, youth engagement, and family-focused services,” said Dillon Credit Union’s Member Service Supervisor, Shayla La Corte. “This initiative will benefit our members and the community by providing access to educational resources, financial tools, and supportive programming designed to foster early financial literacy and family stability. Through hopeful partnerships with local schools, libraries, and youth organizations, we aim to extend the reach of our services beyond our membership base, ensuring that all families in the community have opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive financially. Everyone deserves the chance for a successful financial future.”

The partnership reflects Dillon Credit Union’s long-standing motto—“Our Best Interest Is You.” By aligning families, schools, and community partners around shared goals, Dillon Credit Union and My First Nest Egg are helping parents and educators reinforce positive money habits and connect early learning to everyday decisions that grow with a child.

Co-founded by two mothers and former attorneys, Nicolle Hood and Annie Shoen, My First Nest Egg was created to address the shortage of engaging, age-appropriate ways to teach kids about money. The program transforms complex ideas into bite-sized activities through stories, puzzles, and psychology-backed tools designed for children ages 3–13.

“At My First Nest Egg, our mission is to make financial education part of everyday life—on the fridge, in classrooms, and at the kitchen table,” said Nicolle Hood, Co-Founder & CEO of My First Nest Egg. “Dillon Credit Union’s commitment to its community and its ‘Our Best Interest Is You’ promise make this partnership a natural fit. Together, we’re equipping families with joyful, practical ways to build healthy money habits that last.”
