Dominic Zultanski named senior director of security & loss prevention for Teachers Credit Union
SOUTH BEND, IN (December 7, 2016) — Former South Bend Police Department Lieutenant Dominic Zultanski has joined Teachers Credit Union (TCU), Indiana’s largest credit union, as senior director of security & loss prevention. In this role, Dominic will manage TCU’s overall security program and loss prevention, designed to maintain the safety and security of its team members and members as well as minimize risk and loss to the organization.
A law enforcement veteran of more than 20 years, Dominic recently retired from the South Bend Police Department at the rank of Lieutenant. He spent more than 14 years in the Investigations department, specifically investigating fraud and financial organized crime for a majority of that time. During his tenure, he supervised the formulation and initial operation of the department’s Burglary Unit and Violent Crime Impact Unit.
Dominic currently serves as an adjunct instructor for the National White Collar Crime Center where he specializes in training law enforcement officers on identity theft investigations, advanced fraud investigations, and the prevention, identification and investigation of elder abuse and senior citizen financial victimization. He also serves as an adjunct faculty member at Indiana University – South Bend with financial and organized crime investigation being among the courses he teaches in the Criminal Justice Department.

Actively involved in the community, Dominic serves on the board for Michiana Crime Stoppers and the East End Mishawaka Baseball Softball Association. He is also a volunteer mentor with Phi Delta Theta International Fraternity. He previously served as the South Bend Community’s Operation Manager for its Group Violence Intervention Strategy for the first three years of implementation. In 2002, Dominic was named the South Bend Police Department Officer of the Year.
A South Bend Adams High School graduate, he received his bachelor’s degree in Criminology from Indiana State University and his masters of science in economic crime management from Utica College. He is also a graduate of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy, Police Executive Leadership Academy and Senior Management Institute for Police.
