Marine Credit Union (MCU) has been recognized as a 2025 Junior Achievement Outstanding Community Partner, honoring its longstanding commitment to empowering local youth through financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship education.

MCU was honored alongside other outstanding businesses, teachers, and volunteers at the Junior Achievement Leadership Breakfast on Thursday, May 8.

"We believe deeply in helping the next generation build financial confidence," said Jeff Lachman, Director of Community Outreach at Marine Credit Union. "Our partnership with Junior Achievement gives our team members a meaningful opportunity to give back—and we're proud of the impact we've been able to make together."

"It has been a true pleasure to watch this partnership grow and witness the incredible impact we can make together," said Anne Seehafer, Junior Achievement of Wisconsin Volunteer Coordinator. "We are incredibly grateful to Marine Credit Union for their dedication as volunteers, advocates, and recruiters."

In addition to the organizational award, MCU's Contact Center Director Kerry Jerue was named JA Volunteer of the Year, recognizing nearly a decade of her service in classrooms and her unwavering dedication to local students.

"Kerry's sense of humor and honesty make her instantly relatable," said Dani Paulson, a teacher at Crucifixion School in La Crescent, who nominated Kerry for the award. "The relationships she builds with students are powerful and lasting. Whether she's teaching JA lessons, mentoring through LEGO Robotics, volunteering with Scouting Troop 33, or serving on high school committees, she shows up with heart, energy, and a passion for helping kids thrive."
