Dover Air Force Base Personnel Treated to Over 3,000 Cookies by Dover Federal

Dover, Delaware – December 20, 2011 – Dover Federal Credit Union has once again treated the troops at Dover Air Force Base to homemade cookies for the holidays. “Operation Cookie Drop,” a volunteer effort to bring a little taste of home to the troops, is a way for community members to thank the hard working service members for their many sacrifices. While this is the fourth consecutive year that Dover Federal has participated in “Operation Cookie Drop,” this year marks a record in the number of cookies baked and delivered. Dover employees, associates, and their family members baked an amazing 253 dozen cookies (a total of 3,036 cookies) for the troops. Dover Federal employees then delivered the cookies – along with holiday wishes and a heartfelt thank you – to the Air Force Base the week before Christmas.

David Clendaniel, CEO of Dover Federal, said that the he is proud of the enthusiastic response to “Operation Cookie Drop” among Dover Federal employees. “The troops give so much to our community and our nation,” he said, “and we are all so pleased to be able to show our gratitude and give them some comfort at this special time of year.”
