Dover Federal CEO Appointed to Federal Credit Union Subcommittee

Dover, Delaware – May 22, 2012 – Dover Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce that Dover FCU President and CEO David Clendaniel has been appointed to the Credit Union National Association’s Federal Credit Union Subcommittee. The Credit Union National Association (CUNA) is the nation’s foremost advocate for credit unions and their members, and its Federal Subcommittee is tasked with informing federal lawmakers about the needs of credit union members.

Mr. Clendaniel, who has served as Dover Federal’s President and CEO since February of 1997, has long been a respected leader within the credit union community. With over thirty years of experience in the financial services industry, his knowledge and background made him a natural choice for the CUNA committee.

“I am honored to have been chosen to serve on this important committee,” Mr. Clendaniel said. “The work that CUNA does is essential in ensuring that the voices of credit union members – both here in Delaware and across the country – are heard by our policymakers, and I am excited to be part of that work.”

First chartered in 1958, Dover Federal Credit Union is the largest credit union in the state of Delaware, with a membership of 37,655. Dover Federal has offices in Smyrna, New Castle, Milford, and Dover, including one at Dover Air Force Base. Dover Federal has proudly served the military and Delaware families for over 50 years. Dover Federal now serves the small business community and is the proud recipient of the Kent Economic Development Partnership Award.
