Dover Federal Makes Donation to Aid Needy Military Families
Dover, Delaware – August 9, 2012 – Dover Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce that it has contributed a check for $500.00 to the Key Family Member Program Association (KFMPA). The KFMPA is a private charitable organization dedicated to supporting the families of 512th Airlift Wing members stationed at Dover Air Force Base. The organization’s basic philosophy is to meet immediate needs in an emergency situation and acts as a supplement to official military relief programs. They fill the gap on assistance when the military member is not eligible for other programs, as well as offering financial and emotional support to families in crisis.
Dover Federal’s donation was presented to Joyce Ford, a longtime Wing supporter and former honorary commander, by David Clendaniel, President and Chief Executive Officer of the credit union.
“We are pleased to be able to honor our military with this contribution,” said Mr. Clendaniel. “The members and families of the 512th sacrifice so much for all of us, and here at Dover Federal, we are proud to support them in any way we can.”
First chartered in 1958, Dover Federal Credit Union is the largest credit union in the state of Delaware, with a membership of 38,120. Dover Federal has offices in Smyrna, New Castle, Milford, and Dover, including one at Dover Air Force Base. Dover Federal has proudly served the military and Delaware families for over 50 years.
