DuPage Credit Union receives a $500 Illinois Credit Union Foundation Grant for its We’ve Got Your Back backpack fundraising campaign

NAPERVILLE, IL (August 20, 2015) — DuPage Credit Union recently received a $500 grant from the Illinois Credit Union Foundation’s Community Involvement Fund. The grant was awarded to help support the Credit Union’s steadfast commitment to provide DuPage County students in need with the supplies needed to begin school through its We’ve Got Your Back backpack fundraising campaign.

“We’re excited the Credit Union’s Team was recognized by the Illinois Credit Union Foundation for its ongoing efforts to help DuPage County students in need,” said Amy Brandt, Vice President of Business Solutions. “Without the generosity of our Members, the community and the hard work of our Team, many students would begin the school year without basic necessities like pencils and paper.”

Grant money was used to help purchase backpacks and school supplies, which were handed-out to students at the August 5th Back-to-School Fair in Villa Park. With the inclusion of these dollars, the Credit Union has raised nearly $17,000 to date during its second annual fundraiser.
