EasCorp and Cambridge Global Payments honor International Credit Union Day in a special way
Two firms will waive their charges and encourage credit unions to follow suit
BURLINGTON, MA (October 14, 2016) — Eastern Corporate Federal Credit Union (EasCorp) and its business partner for international payment services, Cambridge Global Payments, announced today that the two companies will jointly celebrate International Credit Union (ICU) Day® this year, Thursday, October 20, by waiving their ordinary fees to EasCorp member credit unions for all foreign-bound funds transfers. Moreover, EasCorp will encourage members to pass this value to their members who need or want to send money on this day.
According to the World Council of Credit Unions, ICU Day has been celebrated on the third Thursday of October since 1948. The day is recognized to reflect upon the credit union movement’s history and to promote its achievements. It is a day to honor those who have dedicated their lives to the movement, recognize the hard work of those working in the credit union industry, and demonstrate appreciation for members.
