Educational Systems Federal Credit Union and the Support Education Foundation wrap up a successful Warming Hearts and Hands Campaign

Educational Systems Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce the donation of 5,256 new winter accessories through the Support Education Foundation’s Warming Hearts and Hands program.  The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization started by the Credit Union that’s dedicated to charitable giving benefiting the education community.

Throughout the month of November, hats, gloves, mittens, scarves, and socks were collected at Credit Union branches to support K-12 and community college students. The Warming Hearts and Hands initiative was a success due to the generosity of Credit Union members and the local community.

"We are proud of the impact the Warming Hearts and Hands program has made this year," stated Girado Smith, President/CEO of Educational Systems FCU. "Seeing our community come together to support students in need is truly heartwarming. The contributions and generosity of our members, Ambassadors and business partners continue to make a significant difference in the lives of students."

“We appreciate the donation from the Support Education Foundation and Educational Systems Federal Credit Union of new winter accessories,” said Jennifer Laque, McKinney-Vento Education Liaison, Anne Arundel County Public Schools Department of Student Services. "We will provide the items to our students in need throughout the winter months."

“This year’s Warming Hearts and Hands program was enhanced thanks to local students who helped sort and pack donated items on Giving Tuesday,” stated Dominic Powell, Support Education Foundation Board Member. “We are grateful for the support, which also gave students an opportunity to earn volunteer service hours.”
