Educational Systems Federal Credit Union gives backpacks to Frederick County Public School students

GREENBELT, MD (August 27, 2015) — Educational Systems Federal Credit Union recently donated 60 backpacks to Frederick County Public School students to support its core purpose of serving the education community. Each backpack contained a composition book, ruler and pencil pouch with a highlighter and pencil. The backpacks were distributed to middle school students in need in Frederick County just in time for the beginning of the 2015-2016 school year.

“For us, it’s an honor to support education. It’s who we are and what we do,” said Chris Conway, President/CEO of Educational Systems FCU. “Middle school is a crucial time in a student’s career. We believe that providing backpacks to middle school students will reinforce the importance of having the necessary tools and supplies for a successful new school year.”

This past spring, Educational Systems FCU also awarded Bailey Tregoning, a graduating senior from Linganore High School, a $3,000 Dorothy Marvil Memorial Scholarship to use towards her college tuition this fall.
