Educational Systems Federal Credit Union helps support education with over $40,000 in awards and scholarships

GREENBELT, MD (January 29, 2015) -- Educational Systems Federal Credit Union helps support education at all levels by providing $11,000 in Professional Development Awards to educators and $33,000 in scholarships to high school and community college students.

  • Maurice Erly Professional Development Award: Eleven $1,000 awards will be given to educators in honor of a Credit Union Board member who was passionate about education and professional development. This award can be used to help pay for workshop registration, certification fees, and tuition. Applications are due on April 1, 2015.
  • Dorothy Marvil Memorial Scholarship: Eight $3,000 scholarships will be awarded to graduating high school seniors in honor of Educational Systems FCU's first Board Secretary. Applications are due on March 16, 2015.
  • Community College Scholarship: Three $3,000 scholarships will be awarded to full-time students currently enrolled at any of the three community colleges the Credit Union serves. Application are due on March 10, 2015.
