Educational Systems Federal Credit Union is now accepting applications for Professional Development Awards

GREENBELT, MD (February 3, 2016) — Educational Systems Federal Credit Union announced this week that the application deadline for its 2016 professional development awards has been extended to February 22, 2016. The Credit Union will award eleven, $1,000 Maurice Erly Professional Development Awards to help teachers, administrators and support staff working for Anne Arundel, Calvert, Charles, Frederick, Montgomery, Prince George’s, St. Mary’s and Talbot Counties as well as the College of Southern Maryland, Montgomery College and Prince George’s Community College continue their education.

“Our core purpose is serving the education community,” said Chris Conway, President/CEO of Educational Systems FCU. “Each year, we provide professional development awards to educators. For us, it’s an honor to support education. It’s who we are and what we do.”

Educational Systems FCU established the professional development awards in 2014 to honor Maurice Erly, who served on the Credit Union’s Board of Directors for 44 years. Maurice spent 25 of his 38-year career as the Coordinating Supervisor of Staff Development for the Prince George’s County Board of Education.
