Educational Systems Federal Credit Union sponsors Millionaire’s Club at Crofton High School

Educational Systems Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce their sponsorship of the Millionaire’s Club at Crofton High School in Anne Arundel County.  The Credit Union now sponsors 15 Millionaire’s Clubs providing students the opportunity to complete a financial education curriculum in a club setting.

“In starting a business based club, I knew I needed to reach out to Educational Systems Federal Credit Union”, said Jeff Starr, Business Lead Teacher at the new Crofton High School.  “The Credit Union recently met with the students virtually to provide guidance and the club members are excited for this new opportunity.”

The Millionaire’s Club is a complete financial skills program where students work with a faculty advisor to complete a financial education curriculum developed by the National Endowment for Financial Education (NEFE). This program is designed to help students manage their finances and think like a millionaire. Student club members elect their own leadership and have the opportunity to participate in national competitions such as The Stock Market Game™ and The Personal Finance Challenge™.  By a Club's third year of operation, the members are expected to engage in an educational entrepreneurial project that both instills business planning skills and generates funds to sustain the Millionaire's Club.

“For us, it’s an honor to support education,” said Chris Conway, President/CEO of Educational Systems FCU. “Helping the members of the education community achieve their financial goals and dreams is our mission, and we believe in being there every step of the way as educators, parents and students look to the future.”
