Educational Systems Federal Credit Union supports the Montgomery County Students Automotive Trades Foundation, Inc.

GREENBELT, MD (June 1, 2016) — On May 14, Educational Systems Federal Credit Union participated in the Montgomery County Students Automotive Trades Foundation(ATF), Inc. third and final car sale of the 2015-2016 school year.

The ATF program is offered at three Montgomery County public high schools and allows students to refurbish donated vehicles as part of their coursework. Throughout the school year, there are three auto sales where students sell the vehicles to the community. The program helps students acquire the necessary skills to obtain a position in the automotive industry after graduation. Educational Systems FCU has participated in all three of the ATF car sales this school year by providing financing options to purchase the vehicles. These vehicles are typically older models with higher mileage that tend to be more difficult to finance.

“We are proud to support education and the Automotive Trades Foundation,” said Chris Conway, President/CEO of Educational Systems FCU. “Through the ATF program, students gain experience in automotive maintenance as well as sales skills that will help them in their future career.”
