Educators Choice offers free financial tools to members of Florida Education Association

TALLAHASSEE, FL (June 11, 2021) — Creative Benefits for Educators (CBE) and Suncoast Credit Union, will launch Educators Choice, a financial guidance and planning program, beginning June 11, 2021 for all members of the Florida Education Association (FEA). Suncoast will provide complimentary professional financial planning and education for the more than 150,000 FEA members.

Educators Choice will be presented through virtual and in-person financial education workshops, seminars, and webinars. Every FEA member is eligible to receive a no-cost customized financial plan to assist in reaching short, medium, and long-term financial goals. FEA members will enjoy access to one-on-one financial planning with Suncoast financial advisors. Additionally, all FEA members receive two years of complimentary enrollment in the Educators Choice Club Package, a bundle of financial and security services including credit monitoring, identity theft protection, extended warranties, and much more.

CBE’s mission is to make it easy for teachers and school support professionals to find quality insurance and financial services at affordable prices; the customized financial planning tools through Suncoast go above and beyond that goal. In a year of unprecedented challenges, including financial stresses, education and support can make an important difference in a member’s financial future, which is part of the Suncoast Credit Union mission.

“Serving Educators is where it all began for our credit union, which is why helping the education community access important financial resources to secure their current and future needs is very important to us.” says Kevin Johnson, President and CEO of Suncoast Credit Union. “We are excited that as a result of our partnership with Creative Benefits for Educators we can bring outstanding financial education and planning to the deserving teachers, faculty, and support professionals that make up the Florida Education Association’s membership; all of whom work in public schools, colleges, and universities across the state.” he added. To support this effort, Suncoast has expanded its field of membership to include all public school employees throughout the state of Florida.

As Chair of CBE Advisory Council and President of the Manatee Education Association, Pat Barber adds that “Suncoast is well-known and well-respected among educators in the communities they serve and I look forward to working closely with them as the provider of financial planning and financial education to the members of FEA.”
