Educators Credit Union awards 37 scholarships to local high school seniors
MT. PLEASANT, WI (June 3, 2019) — Educators Credit Union has awarded 37 graduating high school seniors each with $2,000 scholarships. The 37 scholarship recipients in 2019 is the largest group of scholarship winners in the history of the Educators Credit Union program.
To qualify for the scholarship, students had to demonstrate excellence in academics and their community and write an essay detailing how they demonstrate one of Educators Credit Union’s five core values – honesty, integrity, fairness, respect and excellence. A committee evaluated each submission rigorously and, after hours of evaluation, selected these 37 students.
“Knowing that I won this scholarship is a great relief,” said scholarship recipient Elsa Sanchez. “It assured me that more people believe in me and that I should keep working to achieve what I want to do.”
The $2,000 will go to support these amazing students in their pursuit of higher education. The
