Elevations Credit Union has been honored with the Top of the Hill Advocacy Award by the GoWest Credit Union Association during the MAXX Convention in Portland, Oregon. This recognition highlights Elevations’ outstanding commitment to advancing credit union priorities and protecting member interests through strong advocacy efforts.
The award celebrates credit unions that go above and beyond in legislative engagement and grassroots mobilization. Elevations stood out for its leadership in defeating harmful legislation and promoting policies that support the credit union movement. Through active participation in state and federal advocacy initiatives, Elevations worked closely with lawmakers, testified on key issues, and collaborated with industry partners to ensure the credit union voice was heard.
“Advocacy is essential to preserving the credit union difference,” said Dennis Paul, vice president of government affairs and strategic relationships. “We’re proud to represent our members and work toward legislation that strengthens the viability of credit unions.”
Elevations’ involvement included serving on critical committees, attending Colorado’s Day at the Capitol, and engaging in national advocacy events. These efforts reflect the credit union’s dedication to shaping a positive environment for members and communities.
The Top of the Hill Award underscores Elevations Credit Union’s commitment to advocacy and its role in shaping a thriving future for Colorado’s credit unions and their members.
