Elevations Foundation awards community grants to 11 local non-profit organizations

BOULDER, CO (November 23, 2015) — The Elevations Foundation awarded community grants totaling $38,500 to 11 local non-profit organizations at its annual Grantee Reception on November 17. The community grant recipients are: Alternatives for Youth (Longmont), Cal-Wood Nature Center (Boulder/Broomfield), Eco-Cycle Green STAR Schools Program (Boulder County), InReach (Boulder), La Familia (Fort Collins), Read Aloud Loveland (Loveland), Second Wind Fund of Boulder County (Boulder County), Teaching Tree Early Childhood Learning (Loveland/Fort Collins), Thorne Nature Experience (Boulder/Lafayette), TLC Learning Center (Longmont), WOW! Children’s Museum (Lafayette).

“Elevations is pleased to be able to support such great organizations in our community,” said DiAnne Franklin, Elevations Foundation Board Member and Grants Committee Chair.  “These organizations do critical work, and it’s everyone’s responsibility to support them.”

The Foundation’s community grant program has provided over $225,000 during its first five years. The focus areas for this year’s community grant cycle are early childhood development, mental health, and environmental education and sustainability.

The Elevations Foundation is the charitable arm of Elevations Credit Union—one of the largest local financial institutions serving Colorado’s Front Range.
