Employees rally round co-worker in support of multiple sclerosis research
FORT WASHINGTON, PA (October 28, 2015) — When co-workers heard Kacie Ryan, a member service representative at TruMark Financial® Credit Union, was involved in raising funds for multiple sclerosis research, they wanted to help. Ryan and her team, Raising Caine, hold fundraisers throughout the year to raise awareness for the debilitating disease. To show its support, TruMark Financial allowed employees to wear jeans in exchange for a donation on two Fridays during the month, and raised $500.
Multiple sclerosis is an unpredictable disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information between the brain and body. The disease can affect a person’s basic functions, including vision, balance, and muscle control.
