Empower Federal Credit Union completes phase-one of the 515 Erie Blvd branch renovation
SYRACUSE, NY (September 14, 2016) — Empower Federal Credit Union announces the completion of Phase One of a two phase branch renovation project located at 515 Erie Blvd West branch.
Phase One was completed and opened to our membership on Monday, August 29, 2016. Upgrades include a new entrance which leads to a spacious welcome area, a new teller line with 10 teller windows, and a 6 lane drive-thru, all created to enhance our members experience when visiting the branch.
The building was designed by Robertson Strong Apgar Architects, and construction was completed by The Hayner – Hoyt Corporation. “The atmosphere is welcoming and provides modern conveniences, while sharing historical memories. As you approach the teller line you are taken back in time when trains traveled through the streets of Syracuse and the Erie Canal was a main port of transportation for our city. Our members seem to enjoy the experience of seeing Syracuse as it was in the early 1900’s,” shares Judy Graham, Vice President of Facilities.
Phase two of the project includes the installation of three new ATMs, additional office space, a new waiting area that includes a modern day kid’s area, coffee bar and iPad station.
