Ent Credit Union invests $100,000 in Junior Achievement of Southern Colorado’s JA BizTown and JA Finance Park Capital Campaign

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (April 14, 2016) — Junior Achievement of Southern Colorado announced today the significant commitment of $100,000 by Ent Credit Union toward their $3.9 million Capital Campaign to build JA BizTown and JA Finance Park. This field-trip destination will provide an experiential learning opportunity for 5th and 8th grade students from throughout southern Colorado.

As part of their investment, Ent Credit Union will be one of twenty storefronts in the simulated city where kids will gain hands-on experience with running a business and making real-life financial decisions. “This investment reflects the commitment we have to our members and this community around preparing young people to make smart choices now and in their future,” said Barb Winter, Executive VP for Ent Credit Union.

$50,000 of their commitment is a dollar-for-dollar Matching Grant to help motivate other individuals and entities to join in supporting the campaign. “Youth from around the region will learn about financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and work-readiness thanks to Ent’s generosity,” said Carrie McKee, President and CEO of JA-SoCo.
