Ent employees begin fundraising and break ground on Habitat for Humanity home

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (April 23, 2014) -- Ent Federal Credit Union employees recently kicked off a spring fundraising and construction campaign with Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity in support of “The House That Ent Built.”

Ent employees have set a goal of raising $30,000 and volunteering over 3,360 hours, over the next four months, in support of this effort. Planned fundraising activities include bake sales, “jeans day Fridays” at Ent locations and online employee auctions – in addition to inviting public donations.

“After last year’s campaign, several employees shared with me how much they and their family members enjoyed working with Habitat for Humanity and how rewarding it felt to be able to see the impact of their efforts,” said Barbara Winter, Ent Executive Vice President of Organizational Resources. “All of us at Ent are excited to be working with Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity again this year - building a home for a deserving family in our community.”

The home is being built in the Woodmen Vistas development in Colorado Springs.  When completed, the development will contain 37 Habitat homes.  For more information on “The House That Ent Built,” or to make a donation, visit Ent.com/Habitat.
