Envision Credit Union (Envision) continues to have a strong presence with Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) programs in North Florida and South Georgia. Envision’s partnerships in Florida, with the United Way of the Big Bend and in Georgia, with the Rotary Club of Thomasville and the Thomas County Public Library, has provided relief to hundreds of filers already this tax season, saving consumers thousands of dollars.
“Envision Credit Union is proud to partner with local organizations to offer tax assistance for everyone in the community, not just our members,” said Kelli Walter, Community Development Manager of Envision Credit Union. “We’ve seen an increasingly high turnout each year in preparation for filing taxes, this year already surpassing total returns processed in 2017, which validates the need for this kind of assistance. VITA allows us to help consumers save money they would spend in filing fees. Our team knows that navigating your taxes can be confusing and we’re here to ensure a successful tax season by offering the help needed to complete electronic or paper income tax returns.”
Envision recruited thirteen employees late last year who underwent a vigorous training and certification process in order to professionally serve the general public during tax season. Anyone who has not yet filed their 2018 taxes can still do so at any of the seven Florida sites offered by Envision Credit Union or at the Thomas County Public Library in Thomasville, Georgia. Walk-in appointments are available at select locations, but interested individuals are encouraged to call and book their time in advance. Details can be found at www.EnvisionCU.com/tax.
