Evansville Teachers FCU earns top honor in Readers’ Choice awards

For the seventh consecutive year, Evansville Teachers Federal Credit Union was recognized as the top credit union in Southwestern Indiana and Northwestern Kentucky in voting by readers of the Evansville Courier & Press, a part of the USA Today Network. With thousands of ballots cast online in multiple categories, ETFCU continued its dominance with the top award, Platinum, for Best Credit Union.

Voters recognized ETFCU’s member service as well as its popular products, including no-fee Vertical Checking which now pays 3.30% APY on any balance up to $20,000, as well as providing free ATM usage and up to $15 reimbursement per month when other banks charge ATM fees. The credit union is on track to return more than $4.2 million to members in checking accounts alone in 2019.

In a continuing trend, ETFCU also again was named the Readers’ Choice Award winner as Best in Banking for Knox County in voting conducted by the Vincennes Sun-Commercial. ETFCU also again was selected Best of the Best in Banking for Gibson County, where the credit union operates offices in Princeton and Fort Branch, in voting by readers of the Princeton Daily Clarion. On the state and national level, ETFCU was named Indiana’s top credit union in 2019 by Forbes Magazine, which also saluted the credit union in its inaugural 2018 national rankings. ETFCU now operates 21 branches in Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee. In 2019, it has opened new offices in Princeton and Washington, Indiana, and Franklin, Tennessee, and has locations under construction in Newburgh and Vincennes, Indiana; Louisville, Kentucky; and Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
