Failure to Understand Credit Score Puts Many Adults at Risk

April 15, 2011 – Chambersburg, PA  One of the most important numbers in a working adult’s world is the Credit Score, also known as the FICO score. The failure of many Americans to understand how the FICO score is computed and what impacts it positively or negatively can make a big difference on approvals for loans and the rate the consumer receives.

While no one wants to be treated like a number, the truth is your credit score determines how lenders treat you as a potential borrower. This number can cause an impact beyond the lending process – employers and insurance companies have also been known to consider this number when it comes to offering employment and determining insurance premiums. But what factors are used to calculate this “mysterious” number? For this seminar, Patriot is bringing in Randy Mims, a leading expert in lending, to talk about the intricacies of how you can improve your credit score and answer questions.
