Frederick County Public Schools (FCPS) recently renewed a partnership with Nymeo Federal Credit Union. For several years Nymeo has participated in educational programs such as Future Link, a day-long event exposing 7th graders to career possibilities in STEM-related fields. Nymeo has sponsored events such as Pack the Park for Charity, which donated funds and school supplies to FCPS, and will continue to help sponsor the annual back-to-school CommUNITY Resource Fair. Nymeo also sponsors the Millionaires Club, designed to teach financial literacy, and other events to meet FCPS student and teacher needs. Nymeo will also provide opportunities for FCPS staff to obtain educational resources.

In addition to supporting events like Millionaires Club, Future Link, Start-Up Frederick and the STEM Showcase, Nymeo promotes employee visits to classrooms to educate students and staff on financial literacy. This past year, they also partnered to run our first-ever Reality Fair for high school students. The Reality Fair is a unique simulation activity in which students apply their financial-literacy skills as they experience some of the financial challenges they will face when they begin living independently. We greatly value Nymeo’s continued engagement with Frederick County Public Schools as we bring meaningful financial-literacy opportunities to students and staff.”
