Financial Center supports WISH-TV’s Gr8 Paper Push in partnership with Teachers’ Treasures

For the ninth year, Financial Center proudly supported the 2023 WISH-TV Gr8 Paper  Push, a community-wide initiative aimed at providing essential school supplies to teachers and students  in Central Indiana.

The Gr8 Paper Push, in collaboration with Teachers' Treasures, has been a beacon of hope for educators  who, on average, spend between $800-$1,000 of their own money each year to ensure their students  have the necessary school supplies to be successful. This year, the initiative raised over $350,000 in  cash contributions, paired with a tremendous outpouring of physical supplies purchased and donated by  generous community supporters.

"One of our core principles at Financial Center is to empower individuals with the knowledge and  resources to make sound financial decisions," said Dusty Simmons, Executive Vice President of Strategic  Operations at Financial Center. "Supporting the Gr8 Paper Push is an extension of that commitment,  ensuring that our educators have the tools they need to shape the next generation."

Financial Center's branches in Indianapolis, Greenwood, Muncie, and Kokomo served as school supply  collection sites inviting the public, the Credit Union's members, and its employees to donate.

Teachers' Treasures, founded in 2000, has been at the forefront of supporting local educators with the  supplies they need to teach the next generation. With every $1 donated during the Gr8 Paper Push,  Teachers' Treasures will be able to distribute $15 worth of school supplies to those in need.

Financial Center remains dedicated to our mission of community support and education. The Credit  Union's partnership with local schools and our support for initiatives, including the Gr8 Paper Push, are a  testament to our commitment to building a brighter future for all.
