Financial Managers Society, Inc. welcomes the AMIfs membership, expands financial institutions industry resources and education
CHICAGO, IL (September 26, 2017) — Financial Managers Society, Inc. (FMS) today announced that the Association for Management Information in Financial Services (AMIfs) will be joining the FMS community.
For 70 years, FMS has been renowned in the industry for providing a robust education network representing accounting and finance professionals from community banks, thrifts, and credit unions across the country. Serving a similar member base since 1980, AMIfs provides management information and financial risk management professionals at major financial institutions education and resources on topics focused primarily in organizational and product profitability, financial risk management, and related earnings enhancement programs. By joining FMS, these two organizations are now poised to enhance the financial institutions industry through expanded educational offerings, networking, and professional development opportunities.
“We could not be more excited to welcome AMIfs members to our community,” stated Danielle Holland, FMS President and CEO. “AMIfs has long been regarded as an industry thought-leader in profitability management and risk management, two key areas for FMS as well. By joining forces, we’re not only able to expand the benefits offered to members of both organizations, but also better serve the financial institutions industry as a whole.”
FMS will also be welcoming AMIfs’ 230 individual members to their community of over 1,300 individuals serving financial institutions across the continent. This enhanced membership will now provide both groups with access to valuable complimentary resources such as year-round continuing education-approved webinars and a subscription to FMS forward, the organization’s new members-only magazine.
As well, the new combined membership will also benefit from exclusive industry leading research, digital education offerings, and white papers, and AMIfs resources such as the opportunity to attend the AMIfs Institute, a comprehensive week-long immersion program dedicated to topics in performance and profitability management; and/or participate in the Certified Profitability Professional (CPP) certificate program, positioning practitioners as experts in the field of complex profitability measurement and risk management topics.
This transition will be completed by year-end 2017, with more specific information available by visiting FMSinc.org/AMIfs or by contacting FMS at AMIfsQuestions@FMSinc.org.
