Fintech expert Bradley Leimer, CUNA CEO Jim Nussle added to THINK 19 speaker line-up

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA (March 28, 2019) — Top fintech influencer Bradley Leimer and CUNA CEO Jim Nussle have been added to the line-up of speakers for the THINK 19 conference, taking place May 6-9 in Miami Beach.

Leimer will share his thoughts on achieving strategic agility through the idea of “engagement banking,” and how credit unions can leverage technology to achieve both member personalization and growth. Nussle will provide an update on CUNA’s “Open Your Eyes to a Credit Union” consumer awareness campaign.

Leimer and Nussle join 10 previously announced featured speakers who will be presenting from the conference’s main stage.

“The addition of Bradley Leimer caps our conference theme of ‘Opportunity Never Rests,’ while Jim Nussle’s presence on the THINK 19 main stage underscores the dedication of CO-OP and the THINK conference to the growth and success of the credit union movement,” said Samantha Paxson, Chief Experience Officer for CO-OP. “That commitment is underscored further with our ‘Power Sprint’ tracks and ‘Master Classes’ that will take in-depth looks into today’s challenges and opportunities in our industry.”

As the Co-Founder of Unconventional Ventures, a consulting service focused on improving systematic financial wellness, Leimer works with banking clients, fintech startups and tech firms. Leimer will offer THINK 19 attendees his perspective on engagement banking, which he defines as a model that applies technology solutions to achieve both customer intimacy and scale. Leimer will explain how credit unions are well-positioned to use this model to deliver superior member experience.

Nussle has been CEO of CUNA since September 2014, following a career as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives for 16 years; Director of the U.S. Office of Management and Budget for two years, and four years leading his own consulting firm and then a bio-fuel trade association. The “Open Your Eyes” initiative is an industry effort showing Americans that credit unions are their best financial partner.

Power Sprints, Master Classes Focus on Data Transformation, Payments Experience and Innovation

In addition to main stage presentations and panels, THINK 19 will also provide industry-issue learning sessions each day of the conference. On Tuesday and Thursday, “Power Sprint” sessions will break down topics like artificial intelligence, data transformation, the future of payments and achieving integration. On Wednesday, Master Classes will provide 90 minute deep dive sessions centered around data strategy, payments growth and member experience – giving attendees actionable takeaways and strategies to bring back to their credit unions. Power Sprints and Master Classes will be led by subject matter experts from CO-OP Financial Services as well as experts from credit unions and other industry leaders.

Registration for THINK 19 is $1,999, and the event is being held at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel. Credit union personnel can register immediately at www.co-opthink.org/register.
