First Annual Labor of Love event raises over $67,000 for The Kids-N-Hope Foundation
Virtual event supports music therapy program at regional hospitals and not-for-profits
PHILADELPHIA, PA (September 16, 2020) — The Kids-N-Hope Foundation (“The Foundation”) raised over $67,000 during its first Labor of Love Virtual Ride or Stride event. The event is the Foundation’s first virtual fundraising opportunity to continue supporting its beneficiaries at local hospitals and not-for-profit organizations during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The seven-day virtual event invited riders and striders to walk or bike a pre-selected distance or course throughout the week while fundraising as individuals or a team. Three additional fundraising events were held on America Heritage Credit Union’s campus prior to the week and included a Bike Tune Up Event, A Penny A Step Walk, and a Three-mile Bike Out.
“The Labor of Love was a great success and has paved the way for our future virtual events,” stated Brue K. Foulke, Founder and Chairman of the Kids-N-Hope Foundation. “Though the way our fundraising has changed, the need for pediatric healthcare funding and programming is greater than ever. Kids-N-Hope’s Labor of Love and our upcoming virtual fundraising opportunities will help us continue our mission and positively impact child life services, even during unprecedented times like these.”

The Kids-N-Hope Foundation (“The Foundation”) was organized by American Heritage Credit Union in 1996, and provides support for Child Life Services, specially, Music Therapy at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (“CHOP”) and other local hospitals within American Heritage’s Workplace Partner Program.
