First Capital FCU celebrates #ILOVEMYCREDITUNION Day with Bubble Ball Challenge!

YORK, PA (September 20, 2023) — First Capital Federal Credit Union once again participated in a nationwide social media credit union blitz called #ILOVEMYCREDITUNION Day. #ILOVEMYCREDITUNION Day was created to raise credit union awareness and to help make an impact together.

First Capital celebrated this day in many ways, with the goal of bringing together our employees, members, and local community. Employees shared why they love their credit union, which included reasons such as our members, great rates and rewards, and our community engagement. Members also shared why they love their credit union, citing reasons like great customer service, friendly staff, and awesome rates. Three lucky members won a $25 VISA Gift Card, just for participating!

Lastly, First Capital challenged our non-profit partners to get in on the fun. The two organizations who received the most votes from the community would battle it out in a Bubble Ball challenge at a York Revolution game for a $1,000 donation! The top two were Leg Up Farm and the Margaret E. Moul Home. On August 30th, the Bubble Ball challenge went down, and Leg Up Farm came out the winner and received a check for $1,000. But, we couldn’t let the Margaret E. Moul Home walk away empty handed. So, for second place, First Capital gave them a $500 donation. Check out the fun video we shared on our Facebook page here: https://fb.watch/naFlMcwq_q/.

“Our members and staff did a fantastic job spreading the word and sharing #ILOVEMYCREDITUNION on social media,” said Tara Houser, VP of Marketing & Business Development. “It was really great to seeing our community and the credit union industry as a whole come together and spotlight all the reasons why people love their credit unions.”
