First Capital FCU participates in the United Way of York County’s Day of Action!

On Friday, September 4, 2020, First Capital FCU managers took part in the United Way of York County’s Day of Action! Due to COVID-19, the Day of Action was postponed from June until September. But despite the delay, more than 20 volunteers from First Capital and other companies came together to work at the York County SPCA weeding their grounds and helping spruce up the landscaping.

“First Capital loves participating in the Day of Action,” said Sue DeStephano, President/CEO. “And with being so limited in what we could do during the first several months of COVID-19, we thought it was really important to get out and help those non-profits hit hardest by the pandemic.”

The Day of Action is the largest single-day volunteer event in York. This year, nearly 300 volunteers worked at more than a dozen sites around the county.
