First Capital Federal Credit Union is pleased to welcome Julie Fisher as the new South York Branch Manager. Julie comes to us with more than 20 years of banking experience and a passion for making a meaningful difference that impacts the community in which she serves. In this role Julie will oversee the operations of the South York Branch and provide the best possible in-branch member experience.
Julie started her career as a Teller with Baltimore County Savings Bank, then quickly moved up to Head Teller, then Assistant Manager. After 10 years, wanting to advance her career, she accepted a Branch Manager’s position with another local bank in Maryland, Rosedale Federal Savings and Loan Association. During her ten years there, she moved from Branch Manager to Assistant Vice President/Branch Manager. Wanting to be closer to home, Julie took the position as Operations Manager for White Rose Credit Union, where she fell in love with the Credit Union Difference. When the Branch Manager position opened at First Capital, Julie jumped at the chance to be back in that role.
Julie has worked with multiple non-profit organizations to help make a positive change within her community. Over the years, Julie’s favorite organizations to work with have been, Saint George’s Food Pantry (Aberdeen, MD), Extreme Family Outreach (Edgewood, MD), Anna’s House and SARC for domestic violence victims (Bel Air, MD).
“We are thrilled that Julie has decided to join First Capital,” said VP of Operations, David Morse. “With Julie’s leadership and experience, she will be a great asset to our South York Branch and First Capital as a whole.”
