In their continued efforts to support the St. Louis and Metro community, First Community Credit Union recently presented a $10,000 check to local organization, Friends of Kids with Cancer. This organization works with families to provide support and resources when a child is battling cancer.
First Community employees participated in a monthly donation drive where they contributed a monetary donation in exchange they could wear jeans during the Christmas and New Year work weeks.
“This organization is doing great things by helping families in the St. Louis area. Our employees were excited to support Friends of Kids with Cancer which shows in the contributions they made during the holiday season” said First Community President and CEO, Glenn Barks.
In 2017, First Community employee donations, paired with corporate donations exceeded $45,000 to local and National organizations.
All proceeds raised for Friend of Kids with Cancer stay in the St. Louis community. You can find information on ways to support this organization on their website including two upcoming events. Their Young Friends 5th Annual “VooDoo in the Lou” Masquerade Ball will be on February 17th and a trivia night on March 2nd.
