First Financial awards more than $1.25 million in dividends and rebates to members this year

LUTHERVILLE, MD (July 16, 2019) — Through its ongoing “Better Rewards” checking and Visa®credit card program, First Financial Federal Credit Union distributed over $1.25 million in rewards to members in just the first half of 2019. During the second quarter, members earned over $650,000 in dividends and rebates, in addition to the $600,000 already awarded in this year’s first quarter.

First Financial checking account holders earned over $235,000 in dividends alone for the second quarter. Better Rewards checking account members earned the highest dividends and were eligible for additional Visa® debit card rebates. First Financial also rewarded its Visa® credit card holders over $415,000 in cash rebates for the second quarter.

“Delivering value to our members is at the center of all that we do. Cash rebates, rewards, and high yielding accounts are just a few of the many ways we show our appreciation for their membership,” said Eric Church, First Financial President and CEO. “With over a million dollars already returned to our members in just the first half of the year, it’s easy to see that 2019 is indeed the Year of the Member at First Financial!”
