First Financial boosts financial literacy at Carroll Cash Day

LUTHERVILLE, MD (September 26, 2019) — As a firm believer in the power of financial education, First Financial Federal Credit Union was eager to partner with the Human Services Programs of Carroll County, Inc. (HSP) to support their 2019 Carroll Cash Day series with a $3,000 sponsorship. The next Carroll Cash Day will take place on Saturday, October 5 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the North Carroll Library Branch.

The entire event is free to the public and is designed to foster financial education for the whole family. The event features a free credit check, a scavenger hunt, complimentary refreshments, games, giveaways, and free document shredding. In addition to the sponsorship, First Financial representatives will be onsite to host an interactive financial simulation to help attendees learn everyday personal finance skills, such as budgeting and saving.

“We believe it’s never too early or too late to learn and practice good financial habits,” said Andrea Rapp, First Financial Relationship Manager. “Carroll Cash Day is a really fun way to get both children and adults thinking about making smart money choices. We’re excited to be part of this awesome event and look forward to spending the day with the community!”
