First Financial donates supplies to Baltimore County teachers
FREEHOLD, NJ (August 30, 2017) — First Financial Federal Credit Union of Maryland joined the efforts of The Education Foundation of Baltimore County Public Schools taking part in the annual Back to School Festival at Boscov’s. More than 65 businesses and organizations collected school supplies across Baltimore County, contributing to the overwhelming success of the supply drive.
With more than 100,000 students within Baltimore County Public Schools, public and private donations provided more than 750 teachers with supplemental school supplies for their classrooms. In addition to collecting school supplies and hosting “Stuff the Bus “events, First Financial also donated 2,500 pencils, erasers, and folders. Stephanie Peltzer, VP of Marketing at First Financial remarked “We are honored to be a part of such a wonderful community effort and will gladly assist the teachers of our community in any way we can.”
The event featured the BCPS Mobile Innovation Lab and Parentmobile, the Baltimore County Public Library’s Bookmobile, student entertainment, food trucks, hands-on activities, free raffles and giveaways, and information and resource tables from BCPS, First Financial, and other contributors to the event.
