First Harvest Credit Union helps plant over 80 trees in Camden county

Credit union volunteers participate in three tree planting events in Camden and Collingswood as part of 85th anniversary giveback initiatives

Deptford, NJ (May 12, 2025) |

First Harvest Credit Union (“First Harvest”) employees recently volunteered their time at three Camden County tree planting events, hosted by the NJ Tree Foundation, to help plant over 80 new trees through the foundation’s Urban Airshed Reforestation program.

Over a dozen First Harvest team members took part in three volunteer events digging, planting, and mulching to help reduce noise pollution, improve air quality, and regulate temperatures, contributing to better public health. The recent events took place at Haddon Lake Park in Collingswood, as well as Liney Ditch Park and along the corner of Kaighn Avenue and 7th Street in Camden. Over 8,390 trees have been planted throughout Southern New Jersey under the NJ Tree Foundation's Urban Airshed Reforestation program.

"First Harvest is committed to serving our local communities beyond just providing affordable banking solutions. During our 85th Anniversary year, we’ve made an even bigger commitment to take part in various giveback events and initiatives that will directly benefit the neighborhoods and communities we call home,” stated First Harvest President & CEO, Mike Dinneen. “We're proud our employees are taking a hands-on approach to our ‘people helping people’ philosophy and helping to make an impactful difference in the communities we directly serve. We look forward to our upcoming community programs we are hosting throughout the remainder of the year, including our Fall Shredder Event and Adopt-A-Highway program.”
