First Harvest Credit Union is now accepting applications for the 2026 First Harvest Scholarship program

Program will Award $12,000 in Total Scholarship to First Harvest Members

First Harvest Credit Union (“First Harvest”) has announced the opening of its 2026 Scholarship program to bring students closer to achieving their future academic endeavors. Six graduating high school senior members will each be awarded with a $2,000 scholarship, totaling $12,000.

First Harvest’s 2026 Scholarship Committee will select the 2026 program recipients based on their scholarly merit, community involvement and extracurricular activities, mentor reference letter, program eligibility, and an essay based on how young adults can utilize financial institutions to set themselves on a path towards financial independence. 

Eligibility requirements include:

  • Be a First Harvest member in good standing with an account in their name on or before April 30, 2026.

  • Must have a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.5 on transcript

  • Must be a graduating high school senior and have been formally accepted into an accredited two- or four-year college, university, trade, technical, or business school are eligible for the program

  • Cannot be an employee, or a family member of an employee at First Harvest Credit Union, First Harvest Investment Solutions, Supervisory Committee, or Board of Directors

"As the costs of higher education continues to rise year over year, we have seen the increasing need for financial assistance, and we know the value and importance of investing in our future community leaders,” stated First Harvest President & CEO, Mike Dinneen. “Our annual scholarship aims to help alleviate some of the financial burdens our student-members will face in their pursuit of higher learning, and we believe there is truly no greater investment that a credit union can make than in the development and education of its own members.”
